In a (ir)regular feature, resident World of Beards political commentator, Regy Growthestein, will be giving you his beard-based take on the global news.

Schooled at Harvard during the cultural revolution of 60s California, Regy was a radical campaigner for “free beard love”. Despite now exercising a more liberal chin stroke, Regy is adamant that he will give us the truth and, in his own words,  ”none of that neo-con mustache bull shit!”

What a fine beard! The man who owns it is turning 30 in January 2007. The beard isn’t. I think the beard lasted about 45 minutes before it was hacked off by an angry mob. In celebration of those perfect 45 minutes a group of like-minded beard sympathisers will be heading to a secluded Welsh cottage. Nothing wrong with that.

This is the big bang! A whole world of beards is formed. In a way I’m a kind of god – does god have a beard? Yes, I’m sure he does.
